On August 22, 2025, Valgotech had the pleasure of hosting two Air Force Research Lab (AFRL) officials at the Valgotech Energy Research and Development  (VERAD) Center in Fishers, Indiana.

Valgotech reached another major milestone in developing and commercializing its high-performance, made-in-USA lithium-sulfur (Li-S) batteries with the successful fabrication of 18650 cells.

In recognition of the company’s hard work in breaking barriers and successfully moving Li-S battery innovation toward manufacturability, the Battery Innovation Center (BIC) in Indiana nominated Valgotech for an award at its Annual Stakeholder Luncheon.

Valgotech is among the seven companies selected for the second cohort of the New Energy New York Accelerator program. Over 100 companies applied for the program.

The support from the SPACEWERX will enable Valgotech to address the challenge of the polysulfide shuttling effect in lithium-sulfur (Li-S) batteries, which results in low cycle life performance. The Li-S batteries are lighter-weight, enabling more payload capability for space missions.

Fishers, Indiana – Valgotech LLC announces it has been selected by AFWERX for an SBIR Phase II contract in the amount of $1,249, 934 focused on High Discharge Power Capacity Lithium-Sulfur Batteries for unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) and Electric Vertical Take-Off and Landing (EVTOL) to address the most pressing challenges in the Department of the Air Force (DAF).
